In the Azov-Black Sea region on 43rd week, freight rates stay at the same level as on the previous week. The price of transportation from Azov Sea to Marmara for a ton of wheat reached 23 dollars. Despite the growth of freight rates in the past weeks, the growth of freight rates stopped on this week, the market situation stabilized a little bit.
On 43rd week a number of cargoes from river has significantly increased in the Caspian region, cargoes are sent mainly from Volgograd, Kamishin and Samara. Charterers are in hurry to sent their cargoes till the end of navigation, but shipowners otherwise not in hurry to fix their vessels, waiting for the growth of freight rates and best offers from charterers. This week, freight rate for the transportation of 3000 tons of corn reached usd 34 per ton.
