On the 48th week in Azov sea region situation hasn’t changed. Due to bad weather conditions and low water level many vessels are stacked in ports Azov and Rostov, awaiting for situation improvement. According to weather forecast wind has to change its directions tomorrow and there is possibility that already next week vessels will be available to leave these ports.
Freight rates remain on the same level, price for shipment of 3000 MTS of wheat from Azov port to Marmara sea ports is USD 21 PMT. But it is still hard to find a suitable vessel, because water level on the ADMC is 3,24m.
Caspian region continue to show freight rates increasing. On the 48th week frt rate to ship 3000 MTS of corn from Astrakhan to NIP is already USD 39 pmt. Charterers also have a lot of cargoes from river ports to NIP and freight rate from Volgograd has achieved already level of USD 54 and continue to grow.
