On the 8th week Azov-Black Sea region has shown increase of freight rates to the level of usd 16 per ton for transporting 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to the ports of Marmara Sea.

Due to the decreasing of world prices, the decline in export prices for Russian wheat. However, this is still poorly reflected to prices on the domestic market and Russian agricultural producers are not ready to decrease the price level.

Shipments from the ports of the Azov Sea, though small, but a little revival appeared on the market this week and there were shipments of wheat to Turkey and Egypt.

In the Caspian region, the freight rate for transporting 3000 ton of corn from Astrakhan to Northern Iranian Ports reached usd 27 per ton of corn.

On the market, as in the past weeks, there is a small number of goods from Astrakhan. Due to the general decrease in the number of goods on the market, the amount of spot vessels on the market increasing.
